Am 14.05.2016 führte der Turnverein Roggwil trotz der schlechten Wettervorhersage den UBS Kids Cup durch. Die Aufbauarbeiten wurden vom Regen begleitet. Pünktlich jedoch beruhigte sich das Wetter und der Wettkampf konnte trocken starten.
Nach dem gemeinsamen Einlaufen & Dehnen wurden die Kinder in Altersgruppen aufgeteilt und die verschiedenen Disziplinen (Schnelllauf, Wurf und Sprint) konnten in Angriff genommen werden. Es wurde um jede Sekunde und um jeden Zentimeter gekämpft. Tolle Resultate entstanden, worauf alle Stolz sein können. Leider verschonte das Wetter die Wettkämpfer nicht ganz und gönnte allen eine Abkühlung in Form von Regen gegen das Ende.
Den Schlusspunkt setzte die aktive Kategorie, wobei Spenden für die Laureus Stiftung gesammelt wurden. Trotz des Regen war die Motivation, die Leistungen und nicht zu Letzt der Spass auf sehr hohem Niveau. Einige tolle und unvergessliche Momente entstanden und werden allen Teilnehmern in guter Erinnerung bleiben.
Auf Grund des schlechten Wetters mussten die Finalläufe des Schnellsten Roggwiler und der 1000-Meter-Lauf abgesagt werden.
Bei der Anschliessenden Rangverkündigung wurden die besten ihres Alters ausgezeichnet und durften ihre Auszeichnungen und Medaillen in Empfang nehmen.
Der Turnverein Roggwil bedankt sich bei allen Teilnehmern für den tollen Einsatz wünnscht allen Qualifizierten bei weiteren Wettkämpfen viel Erfolg.
Weiter möchten wir uns für die Spenden bedanken, welche an der 10. Jubiläums-Charity-Night am 19. November 2016 persönlich übergeben werden.
